The fitness industry is so convoluted with many myths and lies it’s hard to see what the actual truth is.

 

I grew up obsessed with football and embarked on training to be a professional. Having got nowhere near the required level due to injuries I became equally driven in fixing them and performing better. How could I run faster, squat heavier, lose weight, gain strength…become a better athlete? I became my own guinea pig, constantly testing different types of programming and training. I discovered what actually works and what simply doesn’t.

The fitness industry is so convoluted with many myths and lies it’s hard to see what the actual truth is. In a world with anabolic steroids, dieting pills, detox teas, fasting regimes…just how does one achieve their goal? Any goal will need the correct programme, upon choosing you or programme the next three steps will determine how successful you are. I’ve simplified this with the diagram below.

1. Intensity – If you don’t intend it to happen it never will. Put your energy into your intentions and ramp up the vibrations.

2. Technique – How we do anything is how we do everything. It’s important to understand how your body moves optimally.

3. Consistency – Holding ourselves accountable. It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives. It’s what we do consistently.
